Inspired by the work of Italo Calvino, The Tao Te Ching, land grids and The Year of the White Dragon (2000), these paintings manifest secret cities, whispers, dreams, desires, fears and hidden truths. Invisible Cities features transparent veils, American flags, Tibetan prayer flags, industrial materials (plastic, aluminum, bubble wrap), cut outs, white washes, imagery and original mantras "slow down," "grow love," that explore the veiled worlds that connect, elude and inspire us.
Invisible Cities is part one of Anthem.
