Fulcrum is a body of work including two series of oil paintings on stitched fabric constructions, Fulcrum and Harmonic Dissonance. Fulcrum is the point on which a lever turns, the means of exerting influence, the movement of a shift, an evolutionary process that both includes and transcends the present set of circumstances.
These paintings were created during the development of fulcrumProjects, an experimental, multidisciplinary live art company founded by Tracy Ginsberg. fulcrumProjects produces interactive, site-specific installations and performances that explore shifting paradigms in art, consciousness and culture.
